Hilton Head South Carolina

The three day drive to arrive

Hilton Head South Carolina has quickly become one of our favorite destinations. From the beaches to the golf courses, the shopping and the food, we are in love. The drive itself takes us 2 night before we arrive. Our first stop we sleep in Philadelphia at Clarksboro KOA Holiday https://koa.com/campgrounds/philadelphia-south/ .

It is a safe and reliable quick stop not too far from the highway. We are able to book a pull through site so that we do not have to unhook our jeep, which is a big deal when you just want to stop, sleep and get back on the road.

Our second stop we use the RV resort at Carolina Crossroads https://www.rvresortatcarolinacrossroads.com/ . We have stayed at both of these parks multiple times. Carolina Crossroads is also very safe, right off the highway, has big pull through sites, and you can arrive anytime of day or night. I like that this park is one big flat square that you can take the dogs on nice walks and at night you have a big open sky of stars to relax under. There is also a big town pretty close by if you do want to unhook and go out to dinner, get some shopping done or go find something to do.

Our last stop this trip was at Hilton Head RV Resort. https://hhimotorcoachresort.com/. One of two resorts here that we love. (The other being Hilton Head National, a bit further away from the island, taking away the ease of biking right to the beach, but close to a lot of great things including their golf course, and they have a really great pool!

https://www.hiltonheadrv.com/ ). We love Hilton Head RV Resort because it is right on the island. You can bike everywhere, be to all the sides of the island within 15 minutes, the amenities are fabulous and it's always well kept.
